Class BBQ Update
Lorenzo is unavailable on the 30 December. This means we have to get a new pit. Pasir Ris Park is one suggestion that I've been given. Anyone with ideas? With regards to booking of pits, could someone offer to locate a pit and do that? The booking cost will be divided between everyone who attends. With this minor setback, the bbq is tentatively ON HOLD as I'm considering the fact that we might not get a pit at this time but if we do the bbq will still be on its way. In all honesty, I do not have the time to organize this whole get together alone. In the meantime, I really hope someone would offer to hunt for a pit(: you were notified @4:55 PM  Hey all! Great news, we are having a BBQ! VENUE: Costa Del Sol, 80 Bayshore Road S469992 Lorenzo's condo, BBQ Pit 1 which is nearest to the swimming pool TIME: 6pm - 11pm CASH: $10 WEAR: Class Tshirt Now I'm sure you guys must be wondering:- 1) Why in the world have a BBQ on the last week of december? It's one last get together for the year of 2008, to catch up with the rest on how interesting/boring their holidays have been and just hang out(: 2) Why are we only informed now? Organisers had to book a pit first, which turned out to require a month's notice beforehand. Also, we had to confirm on the number of people that are free during that week so that there will be a turnout. 3) So then who is coming? The following people have expressed that they are free on the last week of december earlier and they are expected to attend the BBQ. Those who do not appear but have said they would come will still have to pay the cost of the BBQ. BTW, 30 Dec is a TUESDAY. Guestlist: Amira Jamie Millie Lorenzo Gracia Sheila Jia Min Joelle Sean Nicholas Me! 4) Why $10? That's just too much money. That's daylight robbery! Or nightlight robbery since our BBQ is going to be held at night. Anyway, why $10?! It's tentatively at $10 per person but you will definitely get your change back once the total amount of money spent is divided among all who appears at the bbq. 5) So what if I'm not sure if I can make it but just so happen to be able to on that day and appear? The cost will divided by the overall number of people around and change will be given. Whatever the case, if you are able to attend the BBQ, just bring $10 and let Tze Hern know you're coming asap. 6) Where is the food going to come from? We'll be catering bbq food from bbqwholesale.com, don't worry it's halal and real delicious. I've catered from them before. 7) What if I can't stay till 11pm? The time frame is our allocated slot for use of the pit. Do come early to help around with setting up. Other than that, you may leave earlier if you have to, but don't leave without eating first. Duh?! 8) Why class t, it's so unflattering! In the case anyone actually thinks of this question, please do tag and suggest another dress code or whatever. I'm suggesting class t because its something we can all identify ourselves by easily. 9) How in the world do I get to Costa Del Sol? Take a bus 10 or 14 from Tampines interchange which will take you all the way past places like Temasek Secondary School. Alight at a bus stop next to the Econ Medical Centre, and you will have to walk down a drive way, past the Bayshore to Costa Del Sol. I guess that pretty much sums up the FAQ section. Honestly, I'm not sure how this will unfold but in the event that the majority of the class is unable to attend the bbq, we will then have to cancel it. With most, if not all, the China scholars overseas, there's only the 16 of us and so far 11 are able to come. Booking of the food will be made one day before the BBQ, so I will not entertain last minute 'I can't attend' messages by then. Between the time you read this and the 28 dec, tag here/sms TzeHern regarding your attendance. As of now, I will take it that everyone on the guestlist will be coming. Thank you for your time.

Apparently there are more updates to make, regarding holiday assignments and other deadlines. But before that, a round up of today's outing! We downsized our outing from a lavish trip to Vivo and Sentosa to a simple lunch at Tampines Pizza Hut. With a total of $124.70, we spent the money on 3 Group Sets and 2 Garlic Breads. We have a remaining of $14 from the lunch. We had tons of fun as well. To those who couldn't make it, your presence was sorely missed. But i have good news at the end of this post! Now for the announcements. 1) Course Registration will be made through the forms distributed to you guys today. Please submit them to Mr Cecil Ang, HOD of Math by 3 NOV 9am , next MONDAY, through his room on the ground floor. Check with the GO for his room no. 2) The list of classes will be released to us in mid NOV. 3) Update the travel declaration form on the school portal if you are leaving the country as well as any changes in your personal particulars. Here is a screen cap as to where you can find it.  4) The Results Slip that was printed on white paper is to be signed by your parents and returned to Mr Lau's or Ms Bian's letter slot by next week, 7 NOV. The other copy is yours to keep. Now for the good news! A few of us discussed if it would be possible to have a class BBQ sometime during the last week of NOV. The tentative place is at Lorenzo's condo. Please vote if you are interested below. We need to know if a large no of you guys are keen to go then we'll discuss further from there.
